National contact centre management group Excelior is actively recruiting for staff at its 350-seat Mollison Street Bendigo centre as more new business flows in to the state-of-the-art high-security facility. Excelior will advertise for a range of roles this weekend, including outbound sales consultants, sales analyst positions, centre management and team leaders, and IT jobs linked to the awarding of recent private-sector and government contracts. The company is currently aiming to fill around 65 positions, using a mix of permanent full-time, part-time and casual staff.
Excelior recently commenced a three-year contract with a large Federal Government Department, which is in addition to the customer contact support services being provided to other government departments including the Australian Tax Office and Centrelink. A range of other work is also being undertaken at the centre for companies around Australia.
“It is extremely pleasing to be in a position where we are building up the workforce at Excelior in Bendigo to manage the needs of a diverse range of clients, and we are very keen to recruit people who are interested in having a rewarding career and in being part of the centre’s long-term future,” said Excelior Chief Executive, John Watkinson. “We are looking for people who may be interested in a career change, who may want to work on a flexible basis, such as mothers looking to rejoin the workforce casually or part-time, or for people wanting to start a traineeship and gain certification in a specific area. We will provide the training and skills for people who have the right kind of attitude.
“Excelior has worked very hard over time to build up its client base at the centre and we have been so successful that we are now employing in excess of 200 staff in Bendigo. These employees collectively contribute about $15 million a year to the local Bendigo economy.
